In the neighbourhood of Kingston Road Village you'll find this gem of a shop -- Collected Joy. Owner, Sharon, lives in the neighbourhood and has breathed new life (and a little panache) into the little strip of Kingston Road which is also known as the "Upper Beach".
I also happen to call this neighbourhood home. I love it because it feels like a little town within a city. It's a bit more laid back, but with all the pride and awesomeness that is, Toronto. It's a quick walk down the hill to the Beach, steps away from the Glen Stewart Ravine and my favourite gastropub in Toronto, The Beech Tree. You can grab a slice of pizza at The Stone Pizza, or a renowned Swedish cinnamon bun at The Beaches Bakeshop. Mad Haus offers the best coffee (Pilot, in particular) in conjunction with live music and art.
Head over to Collected Joy and you'll find gifts that are local, Canadian-made, and from afar. All beautiful and carefully selected by Sharon in small batches. You'll experience pure joy as you peruse jewelry, housewares, glassware, linens, stationery and so many special items. I have fallen in love with this shop and I'm so glad it's in my neighbourhood.
This strip is lovely and it's thanks to so many great businesses and their commitment to community. Shop local and support dreams.
