I had the pleasure of visiting the One of a Kind Show in Toronto this past weekend with a good friend. I love this time of year! It's so inspiring to meet the people behind the beautiful handmade goods and start some Christmas shopping. I could stay and wander all day, and it's likely that I'll make a second visit during the show's run from November 27 - December 7, 2014. The show is in its 40th year and it just keeps getting better.
Here are just a few of my favourite things from the show:
- Kempton Jones (Top-Left) - Life's SoundTrack Tea Towels
I have a feeling these are going to be one of the show's top-hits for 2014. They're clever, stunning and practical. Ever wonder what the sound of slurping coffee or a purring cat looks like? Well, here they are in all their graphic, beautiful tea towel glory. I love this collection from Kempton Jones.
- Marmalade Designs (Top-Right)
I love these sweet little pendants from Marmalade Designs. The illustrations are designed and printed on linen and set into silver charms. You can mix and match to tell your own story or create a customized gift. They're lovely!
- Trois Quarts D'Once Tonic Maison (Bottom-Left)
I love, love a good gin and tonic. It's a classic drink, but Trois Quarts D'Once takes it to a whole new clean and crisp level with their handcrafted tonic mix. Just add a little to your gin with some sparkling water and you'll taste the difference yourself. Delish!
- Atelier Make (Bottom-Right)
Atelier Make creates handmade porcelain tableware that is simply dreamy. It appears so light and flawless, but it's durable, well-crafted and unique. The collection is a beautiful contrast of traditional and contemporary and I'd love to have any piece on my table.
What are some of your favourites? Perhaps I'll post a few more after my next visit...
