Anti-Racism Resources

This anti-racism resource list of videos, movies, books and articles is intended to serve as a curated shortlist of some available information/education about anti-black racism, including some Canadian voices, that might be helpful in your self-education and self-awareness journey.

This anti-racism resource list is by no means exhaustive. I've also included links to additional Canadian anti-racism resources at the end if you want to do a deeper dive. So, go ahead and make sure you bookmark this page and save the others!

I’ve come to understand that like anything worth doing, anti-racism learning is a lot of work. It requires courage and openness for personal growth, in whatever form that takes. It also involves lots of reflection (external world and self-reflection), new learning, unlearning and greater awareness of, and connection to, the world we live in. Although you may chart our course on this learning journey, we are in this together, knowing you, me, and the world will be better for it.

*Although the focus is on anti-black racism, it is not without an acknowledgement of the historical and current experiences of Indigenous communities (as well as other racialized groups) as part of any conversation of racism in Canada.
